Our Silver Machine has been faithfully carrying our family around for the last decade. As such she is well equipped for camping in the summer or even, for the hardier adventurers, in a Scottish winter.

She is a VW Transporter T32 130 TDI LWB professionally converted by Jerba Campervans. As a long wheel base (LWB) she has a bit more living and storage space without compromising easy driving. Swivel plates on both driver and front passenger seat allow both to face into the living area when parked up to provide plenty of seating and space.

The front elevating roof is fitted with a roof bed, 204cm by 108cm, supported in the storage position by gas struts. The TUV European crash test approved French RIB seat/bed gives a 140cm wide seat moulded for a comfortable travelling position and incorporating three integral inertia seatbelts and three headrests. The seat folds simply into a flat bed of 186cm by 130cm (6ft 1 inch by 4ft 4 inches), a bit more than most VW campervans.

The kitchen has a stainless steel two burner hob with electronic ignition and a grill beneath. The sink unit has a hardwood chopping board top and Florenz microswitch tap. The fresh water tank holds 38 litres with a 7 litre per minute pump. The electric fridge is a 12 volt low ampage 51 litre compressor fridge with 4 litre freezer box.

There is a complete 12 & 230 volt power system with 2 x 60 amp hr Varta leisure batteries and a control panel with leisure & vehicle battery voltage and 3 fused switches. Full charge system via a 230 volt exterior hook up.

A Webasto Airtop 2000S diesel fired heater with a thermostatic control will ensure you keep cozy even in the coldest weather.

If you need them we can supply a Khayam Motordome Classic drive-away awning at £35 per trip and an Atera Strada DL tow bar bike rack for four bikes at £28 per trip. Child seats are available on request at £20 each per trip.

Bedding and linen, although not towels, are available on request at £20 per trip for a double set. If you are using both beds you will need two double sets.

We are quite central, only two minutes walk from Edinburgh's Haymarket Station, so the pick up is quite easy.
